As a dyslexic I have often needed the help of other people to read for me. But this has never stopped me from achieving my goals. On the contrary, it has challenged and motivated me to get involved in bigger ideas. And while on this personal journey I discovered two important things: I am very effective in seeing the big picture and I learn best with the use of introspection. I’m an ‘autodidact’ which means I’m a ‘self-taught’ person. This, at times, places me in a sort of mental retreat which allows me to limit external contamination as well as distraction. I become very focused giving me the ability to think and imagine a bigger picture which in turn allows me to notice things that other people aren’t likely to see.
Connecting the dots may seem abstract for some people, but it is not the case for me. I see a complete and natural union; I can comprehend things as a whole; just like a whole is bigger than the sum of its parts.The consequence of this is that I have managed to develop my own way of working. For example, I found in the creation of theOpenInc.com a great way to make a start up in the U.S.! I designed it for my natural skills. And adding to this, I have a secret weapon: a team of remarkably talented and creative people.
